You might recognize the koala as the face of our Koala Crisp EnviroKidz cereal (and of course as one of Australia’s national animals!). But at EnviroKidz, the koala means much more to us than simply being a cute and cuddly creature. Through the EnviroKidz 1% For the Planet program, we’ve teamed up with the Australia Koala Foundation and have learned that koalas, and their habitat, are in trouble. Technically listed as an extremely “vulnerable” species, the Australian Koala Foundation actually recommends that their status be changed to “critically endangered”. Over 80% of koala habitat has already been lost, resulting in plummeting numbers of koalas left in the wild – estimated as low as 43,000. But there's still hope! And you can help. Every time you buy one of Nature’s Path’s EnviroKidz products, 1% of the sales are donated to support endangered species, habitat conservation, and environmental education for kids worldwide.
