Vegan Queso

We’re getting all up in your snack food with this spicy vegan Queso anyone can enjoy. Serve alongside Que Pasa Blue Corn Tortilla Chips as a satisfying snack or mealtime appetizer to whet the appetite before the main course.

  • 1 ½ cups cashews
  • 1 jalapeño, deseeded
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp chili pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • ½-1 cup water
  • 1 bag Que Pasa Blue Corn Tortilla Chips


  1. In a bowl, soak the cashews in boiling water for 10-20 minutes until soft.
  2. Add the soaked cashews, jalapeno, garlic, water, cayenne pepper, chili pepper, salt, nutritional yeast, and water to a food processor. Blend until smooth (approximately 10-15 minutes).
  3. Serve with Que Pasa Blue Corn Tortilla Chips.

*Note: can be reheated in a microwave for 2-3 minutes.
