Chili Chocolate Granola

Chili Chocolate Granola

You just can’t beat homemade granola packed with good-for-you ingredients! This tasty treat is no exception, with flavors of sweet, decadent chocolate balanced with a touch of chili heat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Nature's Path Old Fashioned Oats
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more if you like more spice)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. In a bowl, mix together oats, hazelnuts, chia, flax, cocoa, cinnamon and cayenne.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla.
  4. Fold the wet mixture into the oat mixture until all ingredients are well mixed.
  5. Spread evenly on a lined baking sheet and transfer to oven to bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring about halfway through to bake evenly.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container for up to 10 days.
