In August of 1999, we designed and built a second production facility in Blaine, WA. More space allowed us to add a new granola line and experiment with new recipes.
We also launched our EnviroKidz line, which also happened to be the first organic cereal option for kids. In 2004, we started donating 1 percent of EnviroKidz sales to endangered species and wildlife conservation and education, donating $24,000 our first year. Fast forward to 2009, and we’d given away over $1 million to EnviroKidz supported causes.
