Hi Melissa and thanks for

Hi Melissa and thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, the exact composition used is in our natural flavor considered proprietary information by the supplier. But I can share some additional info if that helps. Our natural flavors are fruit, spice or plant based and we don’t use MSG, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives in any of our organically certified foods. A natural flavor has not been submitted to processes that have significantly altered the original physical, chemical or biological state. It has no constituent or fraction thereof removed or significantly changed. The natural flavors are non allergenic as they do not contain any proteins. Natural flavor may also contain (non GMO corn based) alcohol, used in the process of extraction. Does that help? All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I love the flavor of the oatmeals you make. I eat the blueberry flavor the most . My only request is if you could add more fruit in the packages.

Hi Meli and thanks for sharing your awesome feedback with us! I too love our oatmeal— in fact, I had never even tried oatmeal until I joined the Nature’s Path Team! However, now I’m proud to say I’m a huge oatmeal lover too. Because we value your input about the added fruit, I’ll be sure to pass along your feedback to the Brand Manager. Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

Another here that loves your oatmeal and generally keep a stash in my desk at work. However, like Susan, I’m wondering if it is possible to determine how old an individual package may be by de-coding the stamp on the individual package. In my case I’ve found one that got covered up for who knows how long in the back of my drawer and has a stamp of “1006 01:22” on it. Thanks!

Hi Tim and thanks for getting

Hi Tim and thanks for getting in touch with us as it is important to check the best before dates for organic products. The best before date reading day/month/year/letter code for Hot Oatmeal is located on the front of the box on the top left corner. Individual packs also have a code on them, which is the code your provided. This code can be deciphered as follows: the first digit refers to the year of production, followed by 3 digits referring to the Julian day of the year (Julian calendar), followed by a letter referring to whether it was produced during a day or evening shift, and finally followed by the time of production. In your case, your oatmeal was produced on January 6, 2011. The shelf life of our oatmeal is 14 months. If you are ever unsure in the future, please be sure to ask us or check codes in this way. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team.

I really like your oatmeal

I really like your oatmeal and feed it to my family almost every day for breakfast, but do not love how pasty the oats get after a minute or less in the microwave.  Is that just the product, or am I doing something wrong in preparation? I feel like it is because the oats are cut so small, but maybe it is me!

Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to us Diana. I suggest adding a tad less water than you normally use and see how the consistency is. You can then keep adding water until it is the consistency you would like it. As per our quality guarantee, please email a clear scan or photo of the expiry date flap to Nicolette at consumerservices@naturespath.com and she will be sure to look after you. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I use these instant oatmeals

I use these instant oatmeals for backpacking trips and usually buy a case which ships 6 boxes inside two larger cardboard shipping boxes. After I remove all the individual packets I’m left with 12 boxes and two shipping boxes that go straight into the recycling and it just seems like an unnecessary amount of waste to me. 1) I’d like to order bulk if I can and was wondering if your hot instant cereals are available by bulk. 2) I also notice that the case is shipping from San Francisco, CA across the bay to me here in Oakland, CA and would rather forgo shipping resources and pick it up my self if I can. Is this possible? Thanks! Love your stuff! -Al

Hi NP, love your oatmeal! Are your individual oatmeal packages compostable? Cheers, R

Hello Rheannon and thanks so

Hello Rheannon and thanks so much for writing to us! Unfortunately, the bags for the oatmeal are not recyclable due to the inner plastic lining which is fused to the outer paper. We are diligently working with organic industry companies to develop a 100% recyclable, compostable plastic film made from non Genetically Modified plant cellulose (possibly from wood) that has the necessary oxygen and moisture barrier qualities. There currently isn’t a suitable packaging substitute on the market, but we’re keeping on it Rheannon! We appreciate that you have the same evironmental concerns as us. Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team
