I also feel this product has way too much salt. My other preference is for the Flax, but I would be interested in a “plain” oatmeal without so much salt.

I love this oatmeal but lately (past 3 boxes I have purchased) I have been finding A LOT of oat husks in my oatmeal and they are SO DISGUSTING. I will find about 5-10 husks per bowl. I have been eating your oatmeal for YEARS and have never experienced this before. I am so disappointed that I am tempted to stop buying your brand because of poor quality control. Sorry to give such negative feedback, but I’m really upset about this.

I am a big fan of the quality of the Nature’s Path products but I would enjoy some of the products a whole lot more if they would reduce some of the sugar and salt that is added for flavor. The original oatmeal in particular is extremely salty and I cannot enjoy it at all. I love the flaxseed and other flavor varieties but I would prefer to eat plain oatmeal more often. Until Nature’s Path comes out with a reduced or salt free variety, I will have to abstain from eating it. I hope that enough people agree so we might see a new product on the market soon.

Hi there and thanks for your question. Unfortunately, our oatmeal is not gluten-free. While oats aren’t believed to cause harm to those with celiac disease, there’s a concern of cross-contamination of wheat, rye and barley in the fields or during the milling process. At this time, oats in North America aren’t suitable for a gluten-free diet and don’t meet the strict gluten-free standards that we adhere to. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team.

I am curious as to why the Original oatmeal has more calories and fat than the flavored oatmeals. There are less ingredients in the Original so I would think with less ingredients, there would be less calories/fat. thank you

Hi Kathy and thanks for getting in touch with us. The more oats in a package the more calories and fat. Because this oatmeal only contains oats and sea salt, it means more calories and fat than an oatmeal that contains fruit. Oatmeals that contain fruit have less oats in a package which means they are going to be lower in fat. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I bought this when I went to the U.S in January and I love it.
I discarded the box and have a few bags of oatmeal left but I can’t remember the expiry date. On the top of the bag, it says 0306 07:21. Does this mean it expires on June 3rd?
Please leave your answer. Till then I won’t be eating this product just in case :)

Your original oatmeal is the only option for me because I avoid any added sugars, but there WAY too much salt in this version. It is crazy. Hi Misha and thank you for getting in touch with us. Yes this product is organic. The production date is located on the top of the box on the top left corner. It’s printed in black ink and states the day/ month/year/letter code. The bags of Oatmeal also have the code on them.
When you read the production date code, this is what it means (use 10215 A 10:25 as an example): 10 - Year of production (2010), 215 - Julian day of year http://modis-250m.nascom.nasa.gov/browse/calendar.html (August 3rd), A - Day shift or B - evening shift and
10:25 - time of production. Use this date and add 14 months from the date to know the expiry date. Take care Misha, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

To the right of the box picture of our Original Oatmeal (above) you will notice our ingredients list, and below the box picture is the nutrition facts. This product doesn’t have added fiber sources, the fiber is only coming from the oats. If inulin is added to the cereals, it is listed in amongst the ingredients on the website and nutritional panel on the side of the box.
