I used to buy koala crisps in 2005 and eat it every day before school. What really caught my attention to the cereal was the koala on the front, being a large koala fan I was instantly hooked despite the taste. I came to find the taste intriguing, it made a good morning cereal and it made a nice in between treat. I’m not disappointed in the sugar content, it’s not that bad compared to other cereals honestly. I’m not sure why there’s so much hate and frustration towards the dairy aspect either. I’d just like to see more donations. I’ll continue to buy the product regardless, but I really would love for the company to send a little more than 1% to wildlife conservation charities. Thanks for a fun and delicious cereal!

This was my least favorite of all the cereals. It had not a good flavor. It tasted like whole wheat and things that you buy from whole foods. It was probably sweetened with agave juice or something natural.

I find out about your company from Alicia Silverstones book The Kind Diet and I just LOVE your products. Absolutely delicious and the Koala Crisp is a great subsitute for Rice Krispy Treats.

Well I am dying to try them even having read those comments, YES it is frustrating when you have specific food needs but atleast there is someone willing to make an effort to give our tastebuds a wee boost without us having to attempt making our own versions of the likes of coco pops etc!
I live in Dublin, Ireland and nevermind the price being outrageously high you just cannot get the products! Please someone educate the supermarkets here! Only Tesco are starting to stock the foods now and are way cheaper than the healthfood stores but we need more competition to lower the prices AND have more variety!
Anyway thank you all for taking the time to read this and for bothering your ass’ to make ‘free from’ cereals!

I just called the company and was told this is both dairy free and lactose free. I do agree that the labeling should be more clear and should include this information. I believe some of the other consumers frustration could have been eliminated if this was added to the packaging.

We purchased this product for my 3 yo daughter because we’re very careful about what she eats and she loved the Koala on the front (targeted marketing works…). She doesn’t eat candy or chocolate and lo and behold NO WHERE on the front does it say CHOCOLATE. why would you leave that off the front of the box when you say rice crisps? You really have to hunt for the chocolate ingredient (we assumed it was brown from the brown rice….). Next time we’ll read more carefully but truly I believe this was incredibly misleading for a product that’s supposed to be “better” than other kids cereals. We won’t be buying it again.
Thank you for taking the time

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your comments. I am sorry that our packaging caused you confusion and in turn frustration. We have reviewed the packaging and will be making changes. On the next packaging run, the cereal box will read ‘chocolate’ to ensure that there is no more confusion and that we are letting our consumers know that Koala Crisp is an organic chocolate rice crisp.
Again, please except our apologies. We are constantly striving to deliver on what our consumers are looking for and can only do this with consumers like yourself who let us know how we are doing and how we can keep growing and improving.

Why doesn’t it say “milk” chocolate on the box instead of having me waste my money on another product that contains MILK. You should be responsible and completely disclose ALL ingredients.

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on May 22, 2009 - 09:24.
It says “milk-chocolate flavor”. That doesn’t exactly mean it has milk in it. In fact, the ingredients say “natural chocolate flavor” which also does not mean it has milk in it. Admitedly, there is no claim to being dairy-free either. Buyer beware imo. If you bought something without “non-dairy” on it, it is your mistake. Not that of the product.
