Hi TJ and thanks for reaching out to us. We’re so excited to hear you love our waffles. Unfortunately, it’ generally up to Costco to determine what they carry. However, if you let them know how much you’ve enjoyed purchasing these waffles from them, they may bring them back on the shelves! Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

Thank you for making the wonderful Flax Plus waffles.  I have been enjoying them all year.  A couple of week’s ago, my husband was buying groceries, and he bought the Kashi 7-grain waffles as a substitute.  They were tasteless.  When I got another box of the Flax Plus, I savored how fluffy and rich they are. Every morning I now throw in one or two waffles for breakfast.  Thanks for making my morning routine so easy and keep up the good work!

Hi there and thanks for reaching out to us. We completely understand that many of you are searching for soy-free alternatives so I’ve passed along this feedback to the Brand Manager. Please note that our organic soy lecithin is a translucent, brown, viscous fluid emulsification. No solvents can be or were used in the production of this lecithin, and it’s produced without the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), irradiation, or sewage sludge. Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I agree! Please, get rid of it. I don’t want to eat soy lecithin or soy by products in my so-called health foods. I’m telling as many people I know to avoid it. Before long your company will see that educated Americans know what’s going on and we don’t want (chemicals and pesticides packaged as) soy, however small the amount in our foods.

These waffles are fantastic.

These waffles are fantastic. They taste like I just made them when they come out of my toaster. I enjoy most of the products I have tried from Nature’s Path. The best part is that their headquarters is in Richmond, BC where I live. I can’t believe that they sell your products in England. I will for sure be buying your cereals when I am in England for 1 month. I cannot live without your products. I hope you continue to come up with new products every year.

Hi Claire and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, our home office is in Richmond, so glad to hear you’re a fan! You can either bring over your favorite products to England, or try some of our other flavors while you’re over there. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I have been buying Flax Plus

I have been buying Flax Plus frozen waffles for quite some time and have always liked them until recently. They look and taste burnt. They look as though they have been burnt when I take them from the package. I generally buy organics, but I may not buy these in the future. At the price I have to pay, I expect quality.

I recently bought the flaxplus waffles because I heard that adding flaxseed to your diet had many health benefits. However, I can’t find any information to tell me how many grams the waffles contain. Can you tell me? Thank you. Laurie

Heather: I was glad to see

Heather: I was glad to see that someone else noticed the changes to this previously wonderful product. Not only did the nutritional content change, but so has the taste – and not for the better. I used to make a special trip to a grocery store that carries these waffles; other stores carry your Flax Waffles but rarely do they carry the Hemp Waffles. An extra trip was definitely worth it because of the difference in taste. The Flax waffles taste pretty much like the standard brands of frozen waffles … basically dull and substance-less. But your Hemp waffles were quite the opposite. They stood on their own and needed no enhancement such as syrup or butter or other typical toppings to enhance their flavor. As far as I can tell, you are now using the exact same recipe for the Flax and Hemp Waffles, except for the addition of the hemp seeds. I do not think this was the case before. My guess is that you’ve now standardized the recipe for all your waffles and then added whatever special ingredient gives the waffle its name. I checked the Nutrition Facts for all the items in your line carried by the store I made the special trip to, and lo and behold, they seem to have the exact same Nutrition Facts now. Oh, the cost savings to be derived from mass-production! The carbohydrate grams on the Hemp waffles have gone from 26 mg to 30 mg, and the protein has gone from 5gms to 4 grams. These may seem like insignificant changes but, like a previous commenter, I have Type II diabetes, and you’d be surprised at the difference such things can make. My blood glucose readings are slightly higher now, which is what made me look at the Nutrition Facts and the Ingredients list in the first place. I enjoy your waffles with nothing on them at breakfast, or with almond butter as a healthy snack – or rather, I used to enjoy them. Now they are both bland and have negatively influenced my blood sugar levels. Whatever change you made has not simply increased the amount of carbohydrates but has also increased the glycemic load effect – they make the blood sugar go higher and it stays higher for a longer period of time. Both of these things matter. Now, I realize that all these diabetic issues are something the average consumer wouldn’t care about. But: it was the change in TASTE that made me look into that. Alas, this “product improvement” has taken an important part of my diet and modified it in such a way that I will no longer be buying your products. Yes, partly for my particular health reasons, but primarily because they now taste like the air-filled, tasteless, indistinguishable frozen waffles sold by countless manufacturers. It’s a real pity that you have devalued your own product in the name of improvement. Sincerely and sadly, Deborah Lee, a former customer

Deborah and Kelly, It’s very

Deborah and Kelly, It’s very interesting that you both had the same comment about the decline in taste of the of the waffles. However, each of you was given a different response as to why. I’m curious to know the real reason. Was it due to improving the flavor as stated in response to Kelly, or due to the change of production facilities as in response to Deborah? I was going to purchase them for the first time, but am now hesitant.

Hi Deborah, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We’ve recently moved waffle production facilities and have had to redevelop the recipe to accommodate the move. We are very sorry to hear that you are not enjoying the new recipe as much as our previous variety. As we deeply value the opinions of our customers, your feedback has been passed along to our Brand Manager who will review the nutritional comments your brought forward.
