I have a question about your agave plus granola.
Are the oats you use for this granola gluten free oats? I thought I had found the perfect cereal to eat while I am avoiding wheat and sugar for health reasons, but not sure which type of oats you use.
Thanks.

Hi there and thanks for taking the time to ask us this quesiton! Our granola isn’t gluten-free due to the oats. While the protein in oats doesn’t do damage, there’s the possibility of cross contamination from wheat, rye or barley in the field or during the milling process. Therefore, at this time in North America most oats aren’t acceptable in a gluten free diet and organic gluten free oats aren’t available in the quantities required for our products. We have a variety of certified gluten-free options for you that you can find here: http://www.naturespath.com/eat-well/gluten-free-celiac-diet. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I have heard bad things about agave syrup as well, but since having to give up cane sugar due to allergies, I am thankful to have this option available. I would suggest looking into coconut sugar as a possible replacement to agave.

Hi Zora! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your comment with us. I’m glad that you have found an alternative sweetner to cane sugar that meets your dietary needs. Seeing as you are looking for other options to cane sugar, you may be interested in knowing that we use grape juice and pear juice in our Fruit Juice Sweetened Corn Flakes. As for coconut sugar, thanks for the tip! I will tell our Research and Development Team about your suggestion. Happy Munching, Justine, Nature’s Path Team.
