I just bought the Crunchy Maple Sunrise cereal and noticed that it is produced in the same facility that uses peanuts, tree nuts and soy. Could you please tell me if the cereal is produced on the same lines as these allergens, in a different part of the facility or if the lines are cleaned prior to making this cereal. Thank you!

Are there any of your cereals hot or cold, or mixes etc totally 100% guaranteed to be gluten free and NOT made in a factory that uses wheat and cross contaminates ??? Thanks, some say may contain wheat and some don’t specify so it’s really confusing yo us all. Thanks again

Hi Jonnie and thanks for reaching out to us. To be clear, if one of our products (such as this one) says it’s gluten-free, then it’s gluten-free. Our GF products have been certified Gluten-Free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (or GFCO, please visit www.gfco.org to view their website) which is a program of the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) and is the highest quality certification available today. This GF label assures you that the product contains less than 10-ppm gluten (5-ppm gliadin) and no testing method is available that measures to zero. We don’t have a dedicated GF facility however, we’re completely confident that our GF products are acceptable for those following a GF diet. Our equipment is inspected both internally and by independent, 3rd party labs to maintain our cleaning standards. In addition, all our processing equipment is thoroughly cleaned before a run of our GF cereals. However, you must see this GF certification label in order for it to truly be GF. There are instances (ex- granola) where there aren’t any gluten ingredients listed, however we can’t guarantee it’s gluten-free and therefore there isn’t a GF label. I hope that clarifies everything for you! Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

you should label your Organic Corn and Rice Puffs cereal as being gluten free (both in a bag; the Corn Puffs in a yellow and the Rice Puffs in a blue bag).
Hi there and thanks for you

Hi there and thanks for you suggestion. While our puffed cereals don’t contain wheat per se, there’s a chance of cross contamination in the separate facility where they’re produced. We like to err on the side of caution and tell you this, so those sensitive to gluten aren’t misled. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I really like your products. I especially like that you are a local BC company.
A few of my family members have been diagnosed as “gluten intolerant” so I appreciate your gluten free cereals. I wonder if you would consider making the “millet” cereal without the barley malt extract so it would be gluten free. Thank you

Hello. I’m new to your cereals and love them! As I learn about the differences in using organic and all natural ingredients in baking, I’m wondering if you have a recipe for making Koala Crisp bars? I found all natural marshmallows but don’t know if I would make them the same as traditional ones? I know Kellog’s gives the recipe on their boxes, so wondering if you have one too? My little girl loves the bars in the single serving but would love to make a pan for the family to enjoy!
Hi Merideth and thanks for
Submitted by Justine on November 22, 2011 - 16:28.
Hi Merideth and thanks for asking us your questions. We don’t have any crispy rice bar recipes as they tend to use marshmallows as you mentioned. The problem is marshmallows contain gelatin which is derived from collagen inside animals’ skin and bones. Being a vegetarian company, we understandably don’t use this. However, I’d love to share with you a vegan crispy rice bar recipe that I found: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6559.0. Or another great one is Alicia Silverstone’s (who LOVES our products) Crispy Brown Rice Squares recipe here: http://www.rachaelraymag.com/Recipes/rachael-ray-magazine-recipe-search/…. You could easily sub-in our Koala Crispy for either these recipes. We also have a recipe section on our website located here: http://www.naturespath.com/recipes. Hope that helps you! Whew…I just read an arcticle about “natural” vs. “organic” labelling of cereal brands and it made me wonder if I’d been one of those people duped by companies using the “natural” label and charging organic prices for non-organic food. I am relieved to find all of our favorite breakfast cereals listed among your totally organic products. We’ve always bought them because they taste great (big fans of Pumpkin Raisin Crunch and Maple Pecan Crunch…yum) and we will continue to look for your label in other products as well. Many thanks!

Hi Mette and thanks for touching on this super important issue. Organic vs. Natural is an interesting topic. As you may already now know, our products are USDA Certified Organic (and we were the first cereal company to do so!) This certification means our products don’t contain artificial preservatives, additives or genetically mofidied organisms (GMOs) and the ingredients aren’t grown with toxic pesticides, chemical fertilizers or fumigants. We strongly believe that this certification is the best guarantee available that every effort has been made to safeguard food from these threats. Products that are labelled as “natural” can’t make these kinds of guarantees. To read more on our organic perspective, please take a look here: http://www.naturespath.com/eat-well/organics. Hi Michael and thanks for taking the time to ask us this question. Unfortunately, we cannot ship our products directly to you. However, let me share with you some options: First of all, if your local store no longer carries Optimum Slim, I would suggest seeing if you can place a special order request with them. As well, in the United States our products can be found at health food stores, grocers, and major retailers (in addition to Trader Joe’s) such as Albertsons and Whole Foods. Additionally I would suggest trying US online stores such as Amazon.com that carry our products including Optimum Slim. This is my husbands favorite cereal!! Every time we make the trek to Whole Foods we grab two boxes. Thankfully we can get the ocassional coupon because at 4.69 a box, it is a bit pricey, but super delicious. We love the sweetness, which is not like typical cereals. Any plans on putting this in the ECO- Pac? We buy the Koala Crisps and Peanut Butter Panda Puffs that way and it does save some money. Love your products!!

Hi! The label on this website says that Koala Crisps have 15% of iron per serving, but on the actual product box, it says 20%. What’s the accurate level of iron in this product? And what’s the source of the high iron levels?
Thanks!
Hi there and thanks so much
Submitted by Jamie on August 18, 2011 - 14:57.
Hi there and thanks so much for getting in touch with us. The nutritional label that we have on our website is from our US packaging and the packaging you have with 20% is from Canada. They are different because the Canadian recommended dialy intake (RDI) for iron is 14 mg and US RDI is 18 mg. Because the RDI is different in each Country, the daily value % is also different. And the source for the high iron levels is due to the delicious organic cocoa! Take care, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I am really enjoying your Optimum blueberry and cinnamon cereal. I’ve joined a nutritional eating plan and I like that your cereal fits in my plan and fills me up enough to keep me from snacking. I haven’t tried your other flavours because I have to buy it from Costco and haven’t seen those ones there (Dartmouth, NS).
