The supermarkets in the mid-Cape Cod area no longer carry your honeyed cornflakes; I really miss this cereal (I have celiac and have little choice of cereals). Most of your new products are much too sweet. Have you stopped making cornflakes? If not, perhaps you can let me know where I can purchase this product.

This is undoubtedly the BEST cereal ever! Not just the best of gluten free, but the best out of ALL cereals. I searched far and wide for a gluten free cereal that actually tasted good and wasted money so many times. Finally, I found the only cereal I will ever need. Yes, that sounds dramatic. But it is so true! Natures Path…this one’s a keeper!

I love to find organic foods and i am buying some of the cold cereals however I don’t understand why you add sugar to the cereal. We do not want even small amounts of sugar in our food.. Is there a possibility that you will soon have a completely sweetener free cereal? Love the Flax Pumpkin Raisin it would be great to get it completely unsweetened. Stevia sweetener does not raise insulin levels and is good for people fighting Diabetes and is totally nutritional. Keep up the good work.

Hello Gary! This product is mainly sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice.
The organic evaporated cane juice is derived from cane. This natural sweetener has a superior taste profile and involves minimal processing as opposed to white sugar which is highly refined. Thanks for your comments! Best, Heather, Brand Ambassador, Hemp Plus Granola lover

Hello.
I just started eating one of the best cereals I’ve ever tried:
Heritage Heirloom Whole Grains.
It’s great! It’s so good, I eat it dry. [No, not ‘right out of the box!’]
One reason I wanted to try it was the label says a serving is 3/4 cup;
that’s a good size.
But in spite of the largish serving size, the caloric content is only 120 calories.
Obviously, this cereal is NOT loaded with sugar.
I think that’s GREAT!
Too many cereals, including “Kashi,”
are adding WAY TOO MUCH ‘sweetener’ to their product.
Every year we hear how much more sugar Americans are eating,
but the fact is, most of it is ADDED to processed foods, not eaten directly.
So, I commend you, “Nature’s Path,”
for making a GREAT product, without adding a ‘ton’ of sugar to the mix.
Now, if more people would eat this great cereal, [or one like it]
it could help the ‘overweight American’ to slim down a bit.
I’ve lost about forty pounds in the last 8-9 months,
& foods with a lower sugar content can’t help but help me, & others,
to control our appetites and our weights.
Thanks a lot, and keep up the good work!

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on July 6, 2010 - 23:31.
I like the texture, variety of grains, and flavor. Please eliminate the evaporated can juice totally as the cereal is more than sweet enough and maple syrup is plenty. I agree with the corn free people to make a similar cereal without corn that maximizes dark nurtitive gluten free grains and possibly a granola textured chunks added instead of corn puffs. It could be cinnamon flavored or raspberry ginger or just ginger so people can add their own fruit and nuts if desired. Maybe you could make amaranth/millet flakes sweetened with fruit juice as the main flake and add teff and quinoa puffs, and gluten-free oat granola or better yet rolled buckwheat flakes granola. I like the vanilla one better it doesnt taste so sugary on my teeth, seems less junk-food-y. Can you up the fiber even more with more flax, buckwheat, teff, or hemp seed meal? I’d love to get a FULL daily dose of omegas 3 and 6 in my cereal. Yum.

I think that this person has great ideas. I just think that it may not be suitable for everyone. As for myself, I can only have gluten-free/Dairy-free products. Therefore, the corn in these products are beneficial for me. I also cannot have oats. I know that there are many people in my shoes. I think that it would be more appropriate to offer choices, instead of changing so many of the ingredients to suit a certain population group. Maybe a corn/evaportated cane juice version, and another for the other groups. Personally, I love the sweetness. Maybe, if you have newer cereals, they could be the ones flavored with Cinnamon or Raspberry Ginger. Just a suggestion. I am sure that the company goes through a lot of trouble in order to come up with the cereal that was made in the first place. Including packaging, ingredients, title, testing, etc. These are just my thoughts. I have been enjoying your products for some time now. It is nice to have a company like your’s out there. Thank You!!!

Recently I pick up a box of you flax cereal and noticed one of the ingredients was natural flavor. This is a term that has been associated with MSG or flavoring which is not natural, so I declined to buy your product. If this is a term you use for real natural flavors, you may want to change your wording. I avoid MSG or Free Glumatic acid as is it’s original name. I will not buy a product that uses this term PERIOD! If you have time to respond to this that would be great, but until you change your label I will not buy your food!Thankyou Melissa Wagner

Our natural flavors are fruit, spice or plant based, and the natural maple flavor in this product is from organic maple. I hope this helps. Best, Kyla, Brand Ambassador, Gorilla Munch Addict

Hi there, thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. As an organic food manufacturer, we use the freshest ingredients available, and we rely on using a thick bag with a strong seal to ensure cereal freshness. Outer packaging must also use a strong glue to prevent outside contaminants from entering. For our original packaging, we recommend using scissors to open the bag. We realize it’s an extra step but we feel it’s worth it to keep the organic food free from chemicals, preservatives and additives. Reclosing the bag with a clip or twist tie or storing the cereal in an airtight container will also keep the cereal fresher longer. I hope this helps. I bought a box of this to try, I went back the next day and cleared the shelf. I am totally addicted to this cereal, I am up to a box a day, I just can’t get enough of it. I totally panic when I get down to my last two boxes and go from store to store looking for it. I wish that the stores carried more. I am celiac and I have been looking for a good gluten free granola bar, I think that if you could put this in a bar with some nuts and raisins it would be divine. I have tried other brands of granola that are gluten free but they are too sweet and are not filling. I know that you carry granola bars but none of them are gluten free. Is there a plan to make some real gluten free granola bars in the future. I sure hope so, if not please consider it. Sincerely Judy Gardner
