I love this cereal! I have Celiac Disease and can’t eat gluten, this is one of the only cereals I’ve found that is gluten free and still nutritious. I add raisins to it and I feel like I’m eating Raisin Bran again!
It is a bit expensive, but the Eco Bag makes it more affordable. Of course, I can only find it in specialty stores like Whole Foods and Earth Fare, and they are usually more expensive than other stores.
I’ve been thinking about ordering it in bulk on line to reduce the cost, but I did that once with crackers and the whole box of 12 boxes expired in about a month. I couldn’t eat 12 boxes of crackers in a month!
However, I digress, I just wanted you to know that I appreciate the high quality of your cereal.
Thank you.

Hi! This was one of the only multi-grain gluten free cereals on the market until recently. I remember enjoying it when I purchased it, but I always had a hard time justifying the high cost of organic and gluten free cereal. I super much approciate the flax as omegas are very important to me, and the use of non basic gluten free grains is so appreciated as I am SO SICK of corn and brown rice in EVERY GLUTEN FREE PRODUCT ANYWHERE!! I know yours does have corn but at least you included amaranth for variety and nutrition. Could you please use a different sweetener than cane sugar? I would like fruit juice ideally, but also agave, honey, or maple syrup but I’d really prefer fruit jiuces. Could you add buckwheat to this and hemp flour? Or make a corn free buckwheat flakes with raspberry pieces and hemp flour/shelled hemp seed, teff and amaranth and make it low in calories and highest in fiber? I want to eat Kashi but I can’t because its not gluten free. Can you make 7 grain and 9 grain stuff like them with buckwheat as the main leader in the recipe? I like the ecopacs to save money and packaging, great idea.

I LOVE this cereal!
Finding a gluten free cereal that not only tastes good but has fiber and crunch is fantastic. One question though, what is the glycemic index for Mesa Sunrise? I’ve recently been diagnosed with insulin resistance so this is just one more thing I have to consider. Thank you!

Hi Velmoose, happy to hear your enjoying our Mesa Sunrise cereal! While it is relatively low in sugar (4g sugar/30g serving) I cannot give you a GI number as we do not measure the glycemic index value of our products. The best thing for you to do in this instance is to check with your health care provider to make sure that Mesa Sunrise meets your particular dietary requirements.
