This cereal is very delicious, but it’s sugary nature leaves me jittery. I understand that the sweetness makes it popular to children and adults alike, but I wish there was less of it. Maybe you could incorporate concentrated fruit juices as a sugar substitute.

Hello Morri! Thanks a million for your feedback. We have many cereals with varying levels of sweetness. If you are looking for some lower sugar options, you might want to try our Millet Rice Flakes, Whole O’s and Honey’d Corn Flakes which contain less than 5 g of sugar per serving. If you are looking for options with even less sugar you will happy to know that our Organic Puffed Bagged cereals and the Original Hot Oatmeal do not contain any added sugar. I am a PETA volunteer and It has come to our attention that Gorillas were harmed in the production of advertising photo for this product. Who do we call to gain satisfaction and get our money back, as this cereal just tastes like Cap’n Crunch and apparently, from all the other comments, has just as much sugar. Our pet Gorilla Koko (not the famous sign-language Koko)loves this cereal! Our friends in Texas are curious to know if “People” actually eat this Cereal? Your Friend; Monkey Boy Vegas, NV

Dear Envirokidz, We love your cereals, but, as others have commented, we wish they had less sugar. We also wish that they were fortified. We only eat them as “treats” because of the high sugar content and low vitamin content. Any chance of coming out with a cereal that has lower sugar and higher vitamins? We would love to be able to eat your cereals for breakfast every day. We would much prefer giving our money to your company! I was very hesitant to try this. I’m 14 years old and a very fussy eater so when I tried it after the box being in the pantry for about a year I was like “Where have you been all my life?!?” I think about it all the time! Addictive to say the least, Gorilla Munch is my drug :P

Way too sweet. Can’t taste the corn. Like so many American products, sugar is added (even bread) which ruins the taste of the grain or vegetable. Disappointing.

I really want to love your products because it is nice to see good gluten-free options, but most of them including the Gorilla Munch, have more sugar than I would like to feed my kids. 8 grams per serving is more than a teaspoon and half…am I the only person that thinks this is way too high for little kids? Any possibility of seeing gluten-free cereal options with less than 2-3 grams of sugar per serving? Also, I never know what ‘may contain peanuts, soy” means. If we have soy/nut allergies also, is it not safe to eat this cereal?

At first, I was hesitant to try anything gorilla-themed - I’ve always liked Curious George myself - but I’m so happy that I didn’t “monkey” around with this one. I want to eat these spheres ALL THE TIME! I must mention that these go quite well with bananas, and I feel that my smug buddy on the cover is happy every morning when he sees me combining his favorite cornmeal with with his favorite fruit!

Dear Envirokidz. Thank you for making fantastic products. I have 2 children. Frederik & Sophia. Frederik has diabetes and celiac disease…gluten free. Without your products I don’t now how we would go thru the day. It is the ONLY gluten free brand he likes!!!! We have all your gluten free cereals and bars. Great packaging. Great taste. We LOVE the animals. Today we found a new one at the store. Lemur. He has so far eaten two big bowls…and wants more! We love envirokidz!! Best Regards Marit

Cran-Apple Gorilla Munch Crisp

In this classic dessert, tender, slightly tart, soft baked apple slices contrast with a sweet, cinnamon-spiked, crisp topping. In the traditional version, the topping is made with wheat flour, but we’ve had great results creating a gluten-free dessert by substituting ground, GF Gorilla Munch Cereal.

Serve hot, warm, or room temperature—perhaps with a dollop of GF cinnamon ice cream on top.
