I have been having rebound (banana flax now, whatever) everyday for years. It is the only one that keeps me very full for a very small amount of cereal. People gotta realize that this product is packaged by weight. sometimes i get boxes with more flakes so there is more product in the bag, sometimes there is not as much product because there are more of the denser grains/soy/etc. It’s not a problem for me since i like every part of rebound and use less of it when it’s the dense part of the cereal (more filling). I had to comment on that because i find it strange people dont seem to understand this.Anyway, never stop making this amazing product, or i will be breakfast-less forever! :D

Hi Laura and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re sorry you had trouble with our spam filters— they can be a bit fussy! I’m going to advise our team that we look into this issue to ensure each box is completely consistent, but rest assured it is packaged by weight. Take care, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

I am lacto vegetarian. I wanted to know what is the source of your tocopherols, since vitamine E can be from animal source.
Also, do you strictly derive all your vitamins from plant source…is there any vitamin from animal source i.e. eggs or meat.
Thanks

Hi Deepak and thanks for reaching out to us. All our products are vegetarian with most being vegan (please see this article for details: http://www.naturespath.com/eat-well/vegetarian-diet). Rest assured, the tocopherols used our products are non-GMO plant based. The exact composition used is considered proprietary information by the supplier. All the best, Justine, Nature’s Path Team

The packaging is very misleading. The size of the box is inconsistent with the amount of cereal you receive (actual amount is VERY small) and the image on the box would lead one to believe this is more than just flakes and puffs with 2 raisins (yes,2) and a few sunflower kernels.

You should be ashamed - reducing the amount of cereal in a box to 13.25 oz from 16 oz and charging the same. Just keep the same amount and raise the prices.

I have been in love with the brand for about a year now; it supports my healthy vegan lifestyle. I recently purchases this cereal (my favourite) and was extremely angry and disappointed with my $6.99 spent; there were no freeze dried banana, clusters, no Kamut puffs. Only wheat flakes and raisins. It was disgusting; like Kellog’s Raisin Bran. If I’m paying this much for my cereal, the contents should match what has always been on the package and the ingredient list. If I wanted cheap filth I would eat popcorn for breakfast. Also, the amount of cereal per package has substantially been reduced, yet the cost is still the same. I am disappointed, and will probably transfer to another brand. Despicable of Nature’s Path to start ripping it’s consumers off. Despicable.

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us Irina. We are so very sorry you were disappointed by this product. We take our consumer feedback very seriously, therefore I have forwarded your comment to our Quality Assurance team who will look into this further. Please email a clear scan or photo of the expiry date flap to Nicolette at consumerservices@naturespath.com and she will be sure to reimburse you for your purchase. The expiry date numbers will also allow us to look at that specific cereal production time and see how some of our other boxes turned out from that same line. I sincerely hope that you will continue to purchase this specific cereal as it is one of my favorites as well. All the best Irina, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

Hello,
I was first introduced to your cold cereal several months ago by a student who brought a box(es) to class (a cooking class no less:) Anyway, she passed it around for others to try (I think she worked for your company). She even let me keep a box. It was great and I wanted more! I couldn’t find it in Safeway, Choices, or Save-On-Foods but recently saw your brand in Wal-Mart. I was thrilled & bought a box of the Banana Almond. I don’t recall what I paid for it, but I was totally disappointed when I opened it - inside I found the cereal in its bag, but the bag itself was noticeably smaller than the box. Plus the bag was just about half full of the actual cereal. It was more crumbs than flakes and when you add milk it was more like mush and not at all tasty like the one I first tried (can’t recall which flavor it was).
I suspect someone in your production line has fallen asleep at the wheel because this was a huge turn off for what seemed so promising.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Hi Andrew and thanks so much for reaching out to us. Funnily enough, it was actually me who brought the cereal into class - if it’s Chef Helena’s class you’re talking about. I make the spaghetti sauce all the time - who knew kefir lime leaves could be magic? We’re really sorry that you were disappointed with the product you purchased. We’re currently working on our repackaging project which will minimize the box size so we also cut down on the amount of inner lining we use. The “why” for why our Optimum cereals are like this is because our retailers want all brands to have the same size boxes for shelving purposes. Because we weight our cereals and Optimum cereals are heavier, there is less product in the bag compared to some of our cereals which only contain flakes. As I mentioned, we are in the middle of our re-packaging project, so pretty soon you will be happily surprised by the change in our packaging. As per our quality guarantee, please complete our contact form (http://www.naturespath.com/contact-us) and Nicolette will reimburse you for the purchase you made. We really appreciate you bringing your concerns forward and I sincerely hope that you’ll write again with any feedback you have. All the best Andrew and I hope to see you in class in the fall! Good cereal, misleading packaging.
I am a first time buyer as of today and am satisfied with the taste of this particular Nature’s Path cereal. However, the amount of cereal you get for the price is very discouraging. I understand that the cereal is packaged according to weight rather than volume, but the actual amount of product in the box is ridiculous. For the price, it seems like a poor value, despite the quality and taste of the cereal itself. For this cereal product to be worth the trouble, Nature’s Path needs to seriously consider changing its packaging to improve value.
A word to the wise: making the consumer feel cheated is not a great marketing move.

Thanks for taking the time to voice your opinion Donny. We’re so glad you love the taste of this cereal! Because retailers choose the price of the product some stores have higher prices than others. We suggest you shop around because you can find our cereals for lower prices, whether the price is like that all year round or the store is having a sale. You’ll also be happy to know that we’re in the process of redesigning all our packaging while keeping the same amount of product inside the box. Thanks again for your feedback Donny. It’s important to us to hear what our consumers are saying, therefore, I have forwarded your comment onto our Product Development team so they’re aware of your concern. I am very unhappy with this cereal. Not only were the raisins like pebbles (you could break a tooth on one), but the flavor of the dried bananas was pretty gross. I am usually a thorough label reader but I somehow missed that inside this box that was sized the same as cereal with many more ounces of food was only 11 ounces. I feel fooled and pretty upset because I have purchased natures path many many times before. I feel as though companies (even the ones I thought were good ones) are using all sorts of tricks to make more money. I feel like they think we are easily fooled, but the joke is soon to be on them when we educated consumers boycott your products.

We appreciate you taking the time to write in to us. We sincerely apologize for this and thank you for bringing it to our attention. I have informed our R&D team so that they can look into the situation further. High fiber cereals tend to extract the moisture out of raisins. Other cereal companies use chemical ingredients to help keep raisins soft, but as an organic company Nature’s Path does not use preservatives or chemicals to do this. If you wish to discuss this further please email Nicolette in Consumer Services at consumerservices@naturespath.com. All the best, Jamie, Nature’s Path Team

I agree with the users who have had the old version. The old Optimum Rebound version was always my favorite cereal, one that I could eat many times a day. This new version no longer taste as unique nor as hearty as the old. In fact it is very bland. I now rotate with other brands/and flavors since this one no longer has any special appeal. I used to be a Nature’s Path advocate. Not so much anymore…

Hi Peter, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. This cereal has not changed ingredients or formulation; the only change was the name of the product and the packaging. As we only use organic ingredients in our cereals, the nutrition will also fluctuate naturally depending on various factors, such as crop conditions, climate, growing location, ingredient nutrition etc. as this is the nature of organic grains. The satisfaction of our customers is very important to us, and we hope you will continue to try our products. Best, Emily from Nature’s Path
