Start Your Healthy Day With Dr. Weil

Nature’s Path and Andrew Weil M.D., Launch New Organic Oatmeal

Richmond, BCJanuary, 23, 2008 – They say that too many chefs can spoil the broth, but Nature’s Path and Andrew Weil, M.D., have proven that the combination of two great chefs with complimentary expertise can create the perfect blend of nutrition and taste in a bowl. The leading manufacturer of organic cereals and the leading advocate of integrative nutrition have combined their knowledge to create Weil by Nature’s Path Hot Oatmeal, two delicious, organic hot cereals that are loaded with whole grains, fiber, antioxidants and other nutrients to start the day off right.

Dr. Weil worked side-by-side with the Nature’s Path’s research and development team to help formulate this second line in a series of innovative, co-branded products that follow Dr. Weil’s integrative approach and recommendations for optimum nutrition. Weil by Nature’s Path Hot Oatmeal comes in two tasty flavors – Veri Berry™ and Chocolada Almond™. Both nutritious choices are organic, vegan, and contain no genetically modified organisms (GMO’s).

Veri Berry™ celebrates organic cranberries, raspberries and cherries, offering rich antioxidant properties and excellent sources of fiber. It has 26g per serving of whole grains – vital nutrients to help reduce heart disease, stroke, cancers, diabetes and obesity.

Chocolada Almond™ contains organic fair trade cocoa with healthy antioxidants, including natural polyphenols and flavonoids. Almonds are rich in mono unsaturated fats as well as magnesium, vitamin E and potassium; essential vitamins and minerals for maintaining optimal heart function and cardiovascular health. It has a whopping 27g of whole grains per serving.

The original products developed in this collaborative effort were Weil by Nature’s Path Pure Fruit & Nut Bars. The organic, vegan line includes Chia Razz™, Banana Manna™, Goji Moji™, Chocolada Walnut™ and Pistachi-Oh!™ -all wheat free, GMO free and contain 1 serving (based on the USDA revised food guide pyramid) of fruit per bar.
