Volunteering

A family planting an organic garden together
There are different ways to get started. First off, pick a pet cause or two. Sometimes it’s easier to volunteer in a field that’s not at all related to your training (just think of all the days you’ve daydreamed about pulling weeds at the park insead of putting together another spreadsheet). If you have some free time on a regular basis, you can set aside an hour or two a week to work with a favorite organization. Or you can link up with a program that sends out one-time volunteer opportunities that fit into a busy schedule.
