By now, pretty much every city in North America has a decent recycling program, so for most of us, separating our paper and cans from our trash is old hat. All it takes is a moment of mindfulness at the trash bin, and an extra bin to put that recyclable material into. By purchasing recycled goods, we cut back on the consumption of non-renewable natural resources. And by recycling, we keep good stuff out of the landfill and give it a second life (or third or fourth). That’s good karma.
