RECIPE:
½ cup unsalted butter 1 stick
110oz bag mini marshmallows
Pinch of salt
1tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp high quality matcha
METHOD:
Line a 9x9 inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal later.
In a large pot or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, swirling occasionally. Watch closely as it cooks, allowing it to turn golden brown and develop a nutty aroma.
Once butter is browned, add the marshmallows and stir constantly until they are melted and smooth.
Sift the matcha powder into the melted marshmallows, stirring constantly until evenly incorporated. You can adjust the amount of matcha to your desired taste.
Remove the pot from heat and carefully add the crispy rice cereal. Gently fold everything together until the cereal is coated in the matcha marshmallow mixture.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press down evenly with a lightly greased spatula or your fingers.
Let the treats cool before slicing. Then, cut them into squares and enjoy
