Superfoods
Say hello to a superfood.
What will you find inside a box of Nature’s Path cereal? A little of this, a little of that, but not just any “this and that.” Meet the superfoods that make it into our products:
Açaí
Pronounced ah-sigh-EE. A superfood superstar. This little purple berry is bursting with antioxidants, and is the next best thing to a fountain of youth.
Agave
A naturally occurring source of sweet, sweet, sweetener which comes to us from spicy Mexico. A little goes a long way, which helps if you’re counting calories or glycemic loads or if all you can find in your kitchen drawer is a ¼ cup measure. The agave we use does not contain any other additives.
Chia
A very tiny seed that packs a very big punch. From energy powerhouse to digestive tract workhorse, chia gets the job done.
Goji
Go, go goji berries! Hurrah for this deep red fruit that makes anything taste berrier—and boosts immune function and eyesight to boot.
Inulin
Often taken for granted, inulin is a probiotic dietary fiber and does a lot of heavy lifting in the GI system, if you, um, know what we mean.
Kamut® grain
The only whole grain grainy enough to warrant its own trademark. It’s an ancient relative of wheat, and it’s also always organic. Now that’s our kind of whole grain.
Matcha green tea
Some people drink this mindfully, in elaborate ceremonies. And some like to scarf it down in a bowl of cereal. Regardless of how it goes down, it’s known to forestall aging and wipe out toxins on the way.
Psyllium seed husks
Another great source of dietary fiber, which helps with things that wouldn’t be polite to discuss on the website of a company that makes breakfast cereal.
Quinoa
One of those ancient grains that’s been around a long, long time, and for good reason. It’s a complete protein, gluten-free, and a source of healthy fats too.
