Celebrate Maple Harvest Season with Mmmaple Pecan Bars
Nature’s Path launches new Maple Pecan granola bars to complement its maple roster
RICHMOND, BC- Just in time for Canada’s maple harvest season, Nature’s Path Organic Foods has launched a new Flax Plus® Mmmaple Pecan granola bar - made with organic maple syrup, crunchy pecans and a drizzle of maple butter icing. At 150 calories per bar and packed with whole grains, fiber, as well as being an excellent source of Omega 3’s, these low-sodium bars are a great portable snack whether you’re in the sugar bush or attending a maple festival.
“As a Canadian company, we love the rich taste of real Canadian maple syrup, which is why it’s appearing in more and more of our products,” said Maria Emmer-Aanes, Director of Marketing and Communications. “Our newest addition to the product line-up, the Mmmaple Pecan bars, is sure to wow every maple fan.”
As one of the companies chosen as Canada’s Greenest Employer 2009, Nature’s Path is continuously trying to reduce its footprint. The Mmmaple Pecan granola bars are packaged in its new Envirobox, which is 36 per cent smaller, making it one of the most sustainable granola bar pack-sizes available at the grocery store. By switching to the smaller pack-size, Nature’s Path will save 1,786,700 liters of water and 45 tonnes of waste annually.
The Mmmaple Pecan bars complement Nature’s Path’s other maple flavoured products including its Flax Plus Maple Pecan Crunch cereal, new, gluten free Maple Sunrise Crunch cereal, Maple Cinn Frozen waffles and Maple Nut hot oatmeal. All of the organic maple syrup used in Nature’s Path’s products is sourced from Citadelle Maple Syrup Co-op in Quebec, which represents more than a third of the province’s maple producers.
