Maintenance Supervisor
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance department in our Sussex, WI location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for:
1. Planning, coordinating, scheduling and participating in daily work assignments with maintenance team members
2. Maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts in order to minimize production downtime
3. Assisting in overseeing the preventative maintenance program for all production equipment
4. Training of maintenance team members
5. Communicating with the entire plant
6. Planning, coordinating, and implementing special projects, equipment installation, and maintenance turnabouts
7. Overseeing the set up and operations of all types of production equipment and machine tools such as, but not limited to, lathes, mills, welder, make or rework required machine parts
8. Certified knowledge of refrigeration systems
9. Re-program or program and edit PLC’s (programmable logic controllers)
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidates should match the following profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical school, or high school diploma or GED and 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; supervisory experience desired
• At least 5 years experience in equipment maintenance and plant operations.
• Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and CMMS System (Computer Maintenance management systems)
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Basic understanding of OHSA, EPA and safety procedures
• Technical understanding of the operation of the equipment and machinery
• Technical understanding of preventative maintenance
• Experience in Food Manufacturing is an asset
