Our packaging has changed, but we haven't.

Hi, I like the new packaging

Hi, I like the new packaging but, why keep a big box when the content sometimes fills only half of the box? As a conscientious consumer, I’m always surprise that people at Nature’s Path use this “old school” deceiving marketing strategy. Big box with almost empty content. The commercial companies (Kellogg, General Mills, etc.) have made their fortune based on that principle. I think that your clients (as myself) are way past these marketing strategies. Please don’t tell me it’s to protect cereals from being crushed. A smaller box would do exactly the same thing. Anyway, we love your products.

Hi Mark - Thanks so much for

Hi Mark - Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on our new packaging. We have reduced the size of our packaging, making the boxes slimmer (in depth and width) to reduce waste; however, there’s still the same amount of tasty product inside. ~Jessica

Hi! I’m really eager to try

Hi! I’m really eager to try the Pumpkin Flax Granola and the rest of the flavors! I was just wondering if this cereal would be a good option for weight loss, weight gain or just a healthy lifestyle?

Hi Jasmine - The Pumpkin Flax

Hi Jasmine - The Pumpkin Flax Granola contains rolled oats*, evaporated cane juice*, soy oil*, brown rice flour*, pumpkin seeds*, flax seeds*, oat syrup solids* (oat syrup solids*, tocopherols), sea salt, molasses*, cinnamon*. (*=Organic). The naturally occuring saturated fat in this product is mostly from the soy oil, and also from the pumpkin seeds and rolled oats. All Nature’s Path organic products are suggested for a healthy lifestyle. We recommend trying Nature’s Path low fat and low sugar products, such as Nature’s Path Optimum Slim if you are planning a weight loss diet. You may also wish to check out our website to see the ingredients and the nutritional values for our other products, as we have many products that contain less than 5g total fat per serve. ~Jessica

You asked for feedback on

You asked for feedback on your new pacaging. I buy the Crunchy Maple Sunrise cereal, because as a former New Englander, I love the taste of maple syrup. I liked the old box design more than the new one. The colors on the ‘old’ package just shouted “MAPLE!” at me,with the red maple leaves and the red cereal bowl! The new package has more muted colors, and the cereal is displayed in a brown bowl. Also the word “SUNRISE” stood out on the old package. (I don’t know what is the connection with sunrise and sunshine, except that most folks identify cereal with breakfast. I eat it anytime — it’s now 5;30 pm, and I just finished a bowl.) Thanks for the bit of old-home nostalgia! Joel K Jerusalem, Israel

Hi Joel - Thanks so much for

Hi Joel - Thanks so much for your feedback. We really appreciate you helping us understand WHY you liked the old box better. It’s the feedback from consumers like yourself that help us get it right. And yes, it is a great anytime snack isn’t it? :) ~Jessica

I have been buying you Flax

I have been buying you Flax Plus Multibran Flakes for quite some time now. I have noticed since you changed to your new EnviroBox there is definitely not as much cereal in the new box as was in the old box, and the price has definitely not come down. Less product, more price, something is not right here.

Hi Jimmy - Thanks for your

Hi Jimmy - Thanks for your comment. Please be rest assured that even though the cereal boxes are a little bit slimmer to reduce waste, there’s still the same amount of tasty product inside. The only change that took place was to the box, not the contents. ~Jessica

As a senior citizen, I am

As a senior citizen, I am very careful about what I eat. I am fine with the new box, but I wish I had access to more of your products. I have to search for the Flax Plus Flakes. Also, offering coupons once in a while would certainly help for seniors, like myself, who are on a budget. Thanks for listening.

I am writing to comment on

I am writing to comment on your product and packaging for your granola. Our family eats the flax plus, Hemp and Pumpkin Granola. Our kids love the cereal. Every time we purchase one of your products we say that we are going to write to comment on the packaging. Here is our letter. It is extremely annoying that we have to pay more per weight for the 26.4 oz bags than for the smaller boxes. At all of the stores in our area (Alberta coop and New Seasons) the large bags cost $7.99 and the 11.5 oz boxes are $2.99. Our complaint is that we seem to be encouraged to buy the product that uses more packaging and wastes more. On a logical level the consumer ought to be rewarded by buying larger volumes. It also seems like the extra packaging involved in the boxed cereal would cost you the producer more money. But neither of these things are reflected in the price. So, in essence you are penalizing the consumer that wastes the most packaging. This is made more absurd but the fact that the more resource wasteful package is covered buy information about what a great job the consumer is doing by buying the Envirobox when really it would be much better to buy the EcoPac bags and skip the chipboard altogether. I hope that this is taken into consideration in setting your pricing.

Hi! I usually buy your cereal

Hi! I usually buy your cereal from Costco and throw out the box, however, now I am wondering if there is corn or corn syrup in the Pumpkin Flax Granola? Thanks!

Hi! No, there is no corn or

Hi! No, there is no corn or corn syrup in our Pumpkin Flax Granola. The complete list of ingredients is: rolled oats, evaporated cane juice, soy oil, brown rice flour, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, oat syrup solids (oat syrup solids, tocopherols), sea salt, molasses and cinnamon. http://bit.ly/yVBOWd ~Jessica

I am also interrested in

I am also interrested in knowing if the pumpkin flax granola is gluten free! Please advise.

Hi Phillip, Thanks so much

Hi Phillip, Thanks so much for the question! The Pumpkin Flax Granola is wheat free. However, as the product does contain oats as an ingredient, there is a possibility of cross-contamination. That said, we are not able to certify it as gluten-free. ~Jessica

I like the smaller, more

I like the smaller, more compact size of the box, but can’t figure out how ‘smaller’ translates into increased price, which is what I noticed most as I grabbed it from the shelf! Still, the Maple Pecan Crunch is my favorite cereal!

Hi Gail, Thanks so much for

Hi Gail, Thanks so much for the kind feedback! We have not made any changes to the prices or changed any of the contents in the box of your favorite cereal. If you are noticing a change in price at the shelf, it has been set at the discretion of the retailer. ~Jessica

Is Flax Plus Pumpkin Flax

Is Flax Plus Pumpkin Flax Granola gluten free? There is no notaion on the box?

Hi Pam, Thanks so much for

Hi Pam, Thanks so much for the question! The Pumpkin Flax Granola is wheat free. However, since the product contains oats as an ingredient, there is a possibility of cross-contamination. That said, we are not able to include a notation on the box that certifies the product as gluten-free. ~Jessica

I loved your Flax Plus Flakes

I loved your Flax Plus Flakes in the past, however, I recently opened a new box and it smelled like strong paint fumes. I had to throw the whole box away. I am very disappointed and looking for a new path.

I don’t mind one bit that the art on the box has changed. I appreciate all efforts to reduce packaging. We buy our Pumpkin Flax Cereal at Costco. We get two packages inside of one box which helps reduce packing I would think and the price is excellent.

I bought six packages of Flax

I bought six packages of Flax Plus and half of them went bad before the expiration date.  I sent an email to consumerservices@naturespath.com and scanned the freshness codes for a refund, and never received any replies.

I just want to tell you guys

I just want to tell you guys that I love your Flax Plus Red Cherry Crunch cereal. It’s very flavorful and delicious! I’m going to try your Pumpkin Raisin Crunch that I just bought recently. I also love the new design. It’s very simple and yet beautiful. Keep up the good work. :-)

I like the new package

I like the new package appearance - I always found the old boxes confusing, and it took me a while to read through everything that was on the front, to figure out what was in the box. Pictures do help me zoom in more quickly on what I’m looking for. Also, I love the new design on the chewy granola bar boxes: perfectly designed, very attractive to look at, and yes, they make me feel happy and comfortable. Weird how pictures can do that. Full disclosure: I don’t like granola cereal, so I have never eaten the Pumpkin Flax or any other granola; this is just about the package appearance. I do like to buy Millet Rice in bulk quantities, though, so when I buy that cereal, I get it in the large plastic bags. Keep up the good work!

I was appauled when I opened

I was appauled when I opened my cereal box this morning. I have “10% less box” but it’s still massive in comparison to what is actually inside. When I placed the actual package of cereal next to the box, the contents of the bag were barely 1/3 of the height of the box. For a 10% smaller box, that just seems like robbery. If the cereal were sold in just it’s plastic bag, I can guarantee no one would be paying close to $4.00 for it and now, I won’t bother with either.

Really don’t like your new

Really don’t like your new pkg. at all.  First, I could not find it on the Walmart cereal shelf—-the old pkg, was attractive and eye-catching.  Brought the new box home and put the wax pkg. into our old-style and attractive cereal box for our table.  Bring back your old box!

I agree. The new box is too

I agree. The new box is too skinny and is easily knocked over, and has no advantages that I can see. Change to plastic bags as somebody (above) has suggested. I’m sure it would be much cheaper for consumers. RG
